Screen visited the set of female-led thriller Keeping Rosy and spoke to actress Maxine Peake about women in film, Inbetweeners star Blake Harrison about playing an unlikeable character and the producers about surprise endings. Packed into two conjoined flats high above Canary Wharf are the cast and crew for Keeping Rosy, which began a four-week shoot on March 20.

Peake, best known for her roles in BBC dramas Silk, The Hollow Crown and Little Dorrit, will play ambitious advertising executive Charlotte, whose life disintegrates after a series of unfortunate events. Principal photography commenced today in London and will continue throughout March and April.

The new film, titled Bonobo, is a story about an uptight divorcee in search of her daughter, who has forgone taking up a place at a prestigious university in favour of joining a raucous commune.

British Indian film Jadoo opens the Culinary Cinema strand of the Berlinale on Thursday [Feb 14]. Director Amit Gupta and producer Richard Holmes spoke about cooking up the comedy.
The British comedy is set for its world debut as the closing night movie for the Berlinale culinary cinema section.
